The Flam Drag Drum Rudiment is considered a Hybrid drum rudiment. It is not one of the original 40 Standard drum rudiments. However, it is important to realize that this is extremely fun to play and easy to play. Also, once you develop this rudiment well on the snare drum, begin playing it around the set.
Experiment with the rudiment
Additionally, begin to experiment, and use it as a fill in. Or maybe play with it, and begin to play half on one drum, followed with playing the other half on a separate drum. Another thing to you can do is play one hand on one drum and the other hand on a separate drum. If possible; attempt to play it with your feet too!
